Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator position works closely with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and a talented Development team to grow and improve Rubicon Programs’ fundraising efforts. The Development Coordinator has a tremendous impact on the organization, as they are involved in all aspects of an innovative and growing $3 million+ fundraising department. In addition to providing administrative support to the CDO, the Development Coordinator serves as project manager for department projects, manages the daily operations of the Development department, and routinely performs a variety of complex and confidential tasks. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and highly organized individual with excellent communication and customer service skills who can manage many simultaneous projects and deadlines, motivate peers within a collaborative culture, proactively identify ways to improve efficiencies, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


  • Support special events planning, logistics and management.
  • Receive, process and track donations and pledges.
  • Enter and update all donor and grant information using Salesforce and run monthly reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Development Officer.
  • Schedule and participate in Finance and Development department meetings.
  • Assist CDO in producing Board reports.
  • Research and identify new individual and institutional donor prospects.
  • Create profiles for donors and manage all correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support in grant proposal and reports development.
  • Attend events to collect and produce social media.
  • Manage, engage, and monitor social media by responding to messages, inquiries and comments to increase reach.
  • Coordinate marketing materials and production for special communications projects.
  • Increase organizational visibility with written content for internal and external communications, news articles and spotlights.
  • Research, process and nominate Rubicon and qualifies staff for awards.


  • 3 years’ experience in Administrative support, development, communications/marketing.
  • Human Services or similar organization preferred.
  • Motivated, organized, and quick learning and deadline driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Office 365(Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with database experience, preferably Salesforce.
  • Cultural Responsiveness and an alignment with our values and commitment to equity and inclusion. If you do not currently possess our organizational core competencies of Trauma Informed Care Motivational Interviewing, and Coaching, you are expected to participate in the necessary training Rubicon provides.


  • Salary $53-65K annually.
